For generations, Stark Enterprise has thrived successfully on its mountainous wealth and inventions, but Obidiah Stane is not so happy. Wanting to hoard all of the fame, glory and wealth all to himself, Obidiah plots the murder of Howard and Maria Stark and sends their only son Tony Stark far, far away so that he may never inherit his family’s company. With the Starks out of the way, Obidiah is able to build an empire from all the resources and technologies.

However, Obidiah fears that others may surpass him and seeks an alliance with Loki, a powerful god, who’s trapped in an enchanted mirror and has the gift of Sight. In exchange for his servitude, Obidiah sells his soul in order to destroy his competition.

A decade later, Tony Stark returns; a genius who is starting to make a name for himself throughout the world with his latest creation: the Iron Man suit. Threatened by this, Obidiah sends Thor to kill him; Thor, who only wants his brother Loki back, reluctantly agrees to carry this deed.

However, despite his orders, Thor lets Tony escape deep into the heart of New York City, where he is taken in by seven individuals, who call themselves The Avengers; a secret alliance who want to bring down Obidiah Stane for the crimes he’s committed.

Leading them is Steve Rogers, a living legend known as Captain America. He and Tony meet and eventually fall in love.

But still convinced that Tony is alive, Obidiah sets out to destroy Tony’s only source of life: his heart.
